Embodying the Mother’s Symbol

The teachings of this sacred symbol of Mirra Alfassa/The Mother, woven into an embodiment practice.

Through āsana, pranayama, mantra, dharana (concentration), dhyana (meditation), and journaling or drawing we will explore the central circle of the Maha Shakti, the four Powers of the Maha Shakti/Divine Mother and the Twelve Qualities that we can embody and direct towards ourselves, each other and the Divine.

Through embodiment practices we will explore the teachings of:

  • Maha Shakti/Aditi/Divine Mother

  • Maheswari, Mahalakshmi, Mahakali, Mahasaraswati

  • Sincerity, Humility, Gratitude, Perseverance, Aspiration, Receptivity, Progress, Courage, Goodness, Generosity, Equality/Equanimity
    and Peace

Corinne, she/her, E RYT - 500, RPYT is the co-director of Shraddhā Yoga and lead teacher of the In-Depth Study and Teacher Trainings. In 2002 she took her first YTT in Classical Ashtanga Yoga as taught by Baba Hari Das and went on to Embodyoga® with Patty Townsend, Meridian Yoga, Mindful Grieving Yoga Therapy, Ayurveda, Vedic Chanting & Sanskrit, Prenatal & Postnatal Yoga, BMC Workshops, MYT for Trauma, Neela Kantha Meditation, as a Birth Doula and on-going Yoga Philosophy study and practice.

Corinne is the author of the new book Birthing Mama.

Corinne’s classes draw from the years of committed practice & study as well as from her relationship with her spiritual teacher GurujiMa, and her aspiration to live yoga as a life surrendered to Divine Consciousness. She loves being immersed in nature, hiking, creating in the kitchen, spending time in India and learning from her brilliant children.
