Here are some examples of what we cover in our training:

    Embodyoga®:
Alignment from the inside-out, whole-body movement principles, somatic awakening, embodied anatomy and developmental patterns. These are applied to traditional āsana (seat/postures), prānāyāma (breath control), pratyahara (turning senses inwards), mudrā (gesture/seal), bandhas (bonds/locks), dharana (concentration) and dhyāna (meditation). We honor every unique body/mind/soul by offering various expressions of all practices. There is never a "one size fits all" approach!

    History and Philosophy of Yoga:
We cover the history and associated philosophical teachings from the Rig Veda, Upanishads, Rāmāyana, Sankhya Kārikā, Patañjali’s Yoga Sutra, Bhagavad Gītā, Devīmāhātmya, Thirumanthiram, Tantrāloka, and Savitri.
We explore the teachings from Sankhya, Yoga, Vedanta and Tantra in the light of Sri Aurobindo’s synthesis of yoga. This synthesis of Integral Yoga draws together the various traditions for the purpose of individual and collective transformation.

    Sanskrit and Chanting:
    Level 1: Uccārana (pronunciation, and foundations of Sanskrit);
Level 2: Introduction to chanting and learning the difference between various chanting traditions. . Learn simple chants of all 3 “types” - sloka, stotra, mantra
Level 3, Immersion into chanting meeting weekly. This level is optional for those who want to dive deeper.

Ayurveda: Yoga’s “sibling” science, the sacred knowledge of life.

    Creating Equality
We value expanding awareness about race and equity in our yoga and wellness communities and how we can help create inclusivity, diversity and welcoming for all beings.

    Living Shraddha:
We provide a framework for discovering your deeper being and integrating its unique beauty and radiance into your life. Discover the faith, trust and surrender that lives within you and that can hold you through all of life’s ups and downs. Find and connect deeply to faith in the divine by whatever name you call the One by.

    Honoring India:
Steep in India’s rich culture that nurtured the teachings of yoga for centuries. With awe, gratitude and reverence we give thanks for these profound teachings as we share them with you.

Integral Yoga and the Teachings of Purification:
The transformational teachings of Sri Aurobindo and the Mother and GurujiMa, offering a path to living a Divine Life here on Earth.

  • “Corinne is a superb and skillful teacher who shared content using multiple modalities, with an emphasis on personal inquiry. She is a master teacher, with a warm and compassionate heart who seamlessly guided us in asana, pranayama, subtle realms, Embodyoga and more.

Matthew is a scholar who conveyed complex history and philosophy with deep respect and integrity. Through this training, my asana practice became more nuanced. I learned new techniques to use language and sequence when teaching. I felt safely and deeply supported on my personal journey and spiritual experiences. I felt safe to reach out of my comfort zone in this community. Subtleties became more clear, my inner vision stronger. I'm grateful for the affirmation to trust my inner wisdom in body, mind and spirit. I wholeheartedly recommend Shraddha Yoga's teacher training program for students of any level seeking a deep and enriching yoga experience. Be ready for new awakenings!”

The path is winding and mountainous and never ending.”
